Chimper #5413
Nichina tapped their carved cane on the flowered turf of The Fluorescent Isles, the sound swallowed by the snickers of armored warriors. Before them, a great sky-dragon regarded the last challenger with bored contempt from atop its mountain of gold. It had dismissed a dozen displays of might. Nichinaโs hands trembled as they unhooked not a blade, but a small iron pot. With practiced, anxious movements, they built a small fire. Soon, the scent of rich broth cut through the high-altitude air. They approached the hoard, holding out the steaming bowl from under their ramen-shaped hat. The dragon lowered its massive head, its gaze shifting to the offering. A long silence, then a low rumble of satisfaction as it ate. From a hidden cloud-tunnel, Kumo watched. No treasure was taken, but Nichina left with a title no warrior could claim.
