Rengetsu is the most sought-after Go teacher in The Great Panda City. Their lessons are famously chaotic, filled with riddles and laughter that echo through the bamboo-lined streets. But this playful exterior is a carefully constructed defense. The intense, 'giga chimped' gleam in their eyes is a flicker of what they desperately suppress—an erratic energy they fear will one day consume them, just as it did Taihi. They pore over every scroll detailing Taihi's painful split, not as a scholar studying history, but as one reading their own grim future. The constant jokes are a cage built of joy.
