Shakusa was born into a noble house in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, surrounded by spinning monoliths and arcane theory, yet their most prized possession was a simple fishing rod. They first crossed paths with Yuki while trying to catch a particularly stubborn crystal-scaled trout in a forbidden scrying pool. Yuki, tracking a far more dangerous quarry, was unimpressed. To break the ice, Shakusa offered the stoic warrior their pufferfish helmet, insisting it was a powerful ward against grumpy thoughts. Yuki just stared. Still, the beast slayer kept returning. They would sit for hours by the region's frozen lakes, sharing a silence that Shakusa would inevitably fill by planning their next prank. Yuki never laughed, but they always made sure Shakusa had the best bait. It was their own quiet joke.
