Chimper #611
Every morning, before the cold winds of The Great Panda City begin their daily howl, Mudai lights the first of their guiding lanterns. As a trainee, their days are spent poring over scrolls detailing Panda Council strategy and the prophecies of Himawari, certain that within the ink lay the secret to becoming more than just another face among the bamboo-lined streets. For a long time, the lanterns were just tools for study. That changed when a young messenger got lost in the river fog beyond the city walls. Armed with nothing but a lantern and a memorized map, Mudai went out alone. Leading the shivering chimp back, they understood that light wasn't something found in a book; it was something carried. The ambition now has a new shapeโless about being great, and more about being a guide.
