Hogihiko

Hogihiko remembered the scent of ozone from the curse-trap just before it stole their sight. As an Umbra Commander, their eyes had been their greatest asset, able to spot a single shifting leaf from a league away. Without them, their command was forfeit, their purpose lost. They retreated into The Heart of the Forest, not to heal, but to disappear. Instead, the forest gave them new eyes. The rustle of amber leaves became a map of the wind; the hum of insects pinpointed every shadow. Their spirit, unburdened by sight, evolved. This transformation drew the attention of Asayaka, who saw not a blind archer, but a being who had achieved a perfect, impossible balance. Hogihiko no longer needs to see a target to know exactly where it is.
