Chimper #768
Kakiru cast their line into the river that runs through The Great Panda City, the hook landing just beyond a cluster of floating cherry blossom petals. Across the bank, Sadasaburou held up a rare mountain herb, a silent challenge in the purple-hued light. Kakiru nodded once, their focus absolute. Sadasaburou was officially their guardian, tasked by the council to keep the starry-eyed explorer from wandering into trouble. But lectures were useless against a mind so prone to drifting. So they made a deal: everything became a contest. Who could map the outer bamboo forests faster? Who could find the sweetest river fish? It was the only way Sadasaburou could teach survival, and the only way Kakiru would listen.
