Chimper #941
Chiekazu did not awaken with a hunger for revenge or a chilling whisper of forgotten magic. They simply awoke centuries late for an appointment, with a profound sense of unease and eyesight that had deteriorated over the long sleep. Wandering, they eventually stumbled into The Heart of the Forest, expecting screams and torches. Instead, a local offered them a honey-drizzled cake and asked if their glasses could see the future. Chiekazu mumbled that they only helped them read small print. The locals found their anxious nature endearing, gifting them an azure blue cap to keep the bright sun from their eyes. They still fret, but now they do it while shelling nuts for the autumn festival, surrounded by friends who don't mind that their heart hasn't beaten in ages.
