Chimper #647
The scent of roasting mushrooms and wild honey hit Tonetarou long before the sound of singing did. They stumbled into the clearing in The Heart of the Forest expecting a fight, or at least a moment of quiet decay. Instead, they found a party. A local immediately complimented the streaks of war paint on their face, asking if they used crushed berries for the pigment. Tonetarou's low, undead groan was mistaken for a new baritone harmony, and soon others were trying to match the note. They raised their Apple Stick as a weapon, only for someone to pluck the fruit off, thank them for the snack, and offer a slice of pie in return. They have been trying to leave for a week, but keep getting swept into another dance or tasked with judging a baking contest.
