Chimper #1399
In Waterfall City, the old frogs say the river gives its best gifts to those who listen, not those who demand. Kyuunosuke took this to heart. While other trainees spent their days clashing swords, Kyuunosuke spent them by the water's edge, a hopeful piece of bait bobbing on their head as they watched the currents. They carried an adventure sword, but it was mostly for cutting tangled fishing lines. One evening, instead of casting a hook, they simply hummed a tune theyโd learned from the rhythm of the falls. From the depths came a fish with scales of polished moonlight, which circled them once, adding its own low harmony before disappearing. They caught nothing, yet went home with a story that made the whole plaza smile.
