Chimper #1734
What happens when a mind built for seeing the future glimpses a past too terrible to hold? Rikimi was once the celebrated visionary of The Great Panda City, their psychic readings as clear and brilliant as polished amethyst. They served the Panda Council, foreseeing prosperous trade and peaceful seasons. But a rogue vision of the Final Destination shattered that gift, the sheer psychic backlash leaving them permanently exhausted. The brilliant foresight was replaced by a constant, blinding hum. These days, they wander the bamboo-lined streets, their expression a careful blank to conceal the storm within. They found an unlikely companion in Shijin, whose mournful flute melodies are the only thing that can soothe the static. Together they mournโShijin for histories lost, and Rikimi for futures they can no longer bear to see.
