Kotosaburou

The constant roar from above is a sound most in Waterfall City learn to ignore, but for Kotosaburou, it is a metronome for patience. They met Gero, a frog with a mouth faster than their legs, down by the fishing huts. Gero had a talent for making deals that soured and debts that grew teeth. When one such debt came to collect, Kotosaburou’s official Green Bow training wasn’t enough. Desperate, they sought out the masked mage, Tora, who taught them a single, forbidden chant that could turn rushing water into unyielding glass. They used it once to save Gero. The two are still partners, but something shifted. Gero is quieter, and Kotosaburou sits by the water, poker-faced, as if only waiting for a fish to bite.
