Chimper #2089
The singers in The Heart of the Forest have a song about Momojirou. They claim the flashy suit and wild haircut were the result of a lost bet with Roketto, a price paid for doubting the world-builder's vision. The truth is less dramatic, but just as telling. Momojirou was once the fastest messenger in the amber-leaved woods, their routes as familiar as their own heartbeat. When Roketto arrived with plans for colonizing dead planets, everyone else laughed. Momojirou, however, understood logistics. They saw not madness, but a new kind of message that needed delivering. They left the forest behind, trading soft earth for starship steel. Roketto builds the machines; Momojirou builds the community. That unamused look isn't boredomโitโs the face of someone who has to explain to a genius why a new world needs a place to dance.
