Chimper #223
"They will never master the monoliths; their spirit flows like water, not stone." That was the assessment from Kayanaโs first instructor in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. For seasons, the anxious trainee tried to prove them wrong, forcing their gentle nature to conform to the rigid geomancy of the wizards. Every attempt to channel energy through the dark fortress rock felt like pushing a river through a sieve, leaving them drained and uneasy. The breaking point was an exam to levitate a shard of obsidian. As their focus fractured, they abandoned the chants and remembered the feeling of pushing upstream. Instead, Kayana drew moisture from the cold air, weaving a shimmering net of vapor that didn't lift the shard, but allowed it to swim. It was not the magic of Armaria, but it was theirs.
