Chimper #2235
Kumagorou casts their line into the open air, the lure whistling as it sails across the chasm to the next floating island. Once, this same patient motion pulled silver-scaled trout from a roaring river far below. That was before the water rose without warning, swallowing their entire village and leaving them clinging to wreckage. They awoke here, in The Fluorescent Isles, with nothing but the festival paint on their face and a useless fishing rod. But it wasn't useless. Here, they learned to fish for different things: dropped cargo, rare sky-blooms, messages tied to stones. They became a merchant of the void between worlds. The Red Panda mask hides the face of a survivor; the paint is a promise to remember the weight of the water.
