They speak of a charming rogue who can talk a frog into giving up its favorite fly. Ask the city guards who patrol the upper plaza, however, and they’ll tell a different story. They say the beanie was a gift from a traveling master who saw in them the spirit of the haunted wanderer, Yukimura. They’ve witnessed Sakuranbo practicing with their combat pole until their hands bled, a silent dedication that belies their easy grin. Sakuranbo, for their part, just listens to the rumors over the constant roar of the falls, offering the same warm, noncommittal smile to everyone.
