Chimper #3996
When Mijinko first decided to court the most respected fishmonger in Waterfall City, they did not bring flowers. They brought their research: a detailed analysis of the romantic vocalizations of the Silver-Throated River Frog. Confident in their findings, Mijinko stood by the fishing docks and produced a croak so profound, so resonant, that every frog in the vicinity fell silent. Then, in a single, panicked wave, they all leaped out of the water and onto the stone plaza. The fishmonger, who had just spent all morning trying to fill their nets, stared at the wriggling bounty at their feet, then at Mijinko, and burst out laughing. They dubbed Mijinko "the Scholar" on the spot. The name stuck, as did the relationship.
