Kireide did not order a Dragonslayer Blade. They ordered a high-quality wok for their stall in The Heart of the Forest, but a shipping manifest mix-up is a powerful thing. Too embarrassed to return it, Kireide simply adapted. The first snapshot of their new life was the annual Harvest Festival, where their culinary nemesis, Kokowa, unveiled a dish using foraged screaming-peppers. In response, Kireide used the flat of their new blade to tenderize a boar steak with terrifying efficiency. Then came the mask, worn to avoid questions from the sword’s actual owner. Finally, the truce: a visiting Panda Council member requested a dish that required both Kokowa’s rare fungi and Kireide’s flawless knife work. They bickered the whole time, but the meal was legendary. The rivalry still simmers, but now it’s over seasoning, not sabotage.
