Kumezaemon

Kumezaemon was the most patient agent in Waterfall City. They could listen for hours to the whispers of the water spirits by the pale stone temple, discerning secrets from the endless rush of the falls. Then they partnered with Ren, a scrapper from the lower city whose idea of subtlety was a tavern brawl that “accidentally” spilled into a target's office. The partnership baffled their superiors. Yet, it worked. Ren’s chaotic energy was the perfect cover for Kumezaemon’s silent movements. While Ren loudly accused a frog merchant of cheating at dice, Kumezaemon would be three rooftops away, the sacred vapour around their head mingling with the city’s mist. They are often seen sharing a meal at the plaza; Ren recounting their exploits to the entire market, Kumezaemon just smiling behind their teacup.
