Chimper #3975
What use is a Dragonslayer Blade in a forest where the greatest threat is running out of honey-cakes? Mamido gets this question often, usually from wide-eyed locals in The Heart of the Forest. They see the serene scholar in the azure cap, the one who pores over ancient scrolls, and then they see the colossal, notch-scarred weapon on their back. The blade doesnโt belong to them. It belonged to their partner, a warrior whose laugh was louder than a rockslide and whose solution to every problem was โhit it harder.โ They were an impossible pair: the strategist and the storm. One day, the storm went to chase a thunderhead over the mountains, leaving the blade behind. Mamido has been keeping it from getting rusty ever since, a silent, heavy tribute to a very loud friend.
