Chimper #4448
Toyohiko’s fishing rod has never once been cast into the rushing waters of Waterfall City, and they pray it never has to be. They were a humble chef, known only for their passable noodle broth at a small stall near the base of the falls. But when a famous food critic announced a visit, Toyohiko panicked and boasted that their secret was using only fish they caught themself. After a day of humiliating failure, they bought a huge salmon from a frog merchant. Rushing up the slick stone stairs to the main plaza, they tripped, and the fish flipped through the air, landing perfectly on their head. The critic witnessed the display and lauded it as a bold statement on the unity of chef and ingredient. Fame came overnight, and now they can’t be seen without the salmon.
