Shinkurou

The wisest wizards of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria say two stones are needed to make a fire. Shinkurou was a student of light, spending their days painting sunsets on obsidian shards. Their partner, a warden sent by the Panda Council, was a student of shadows, trained to see threats in every flicker. They did not get along. But when a Soul Chaser ambush shattered the evening calm, the warden’s brute strength was not enough. Trapped, they watched as Shinkurou, using a polished crystal and the last rays of sun, created a blinding prismatic flare that sent the cultists reeling. The scar on Shinkurou's face is from that fight. The Red Panda mask was a gift from the warden the next morning—a silent alliance. One still watches the light, the other the dark, but they always stand back-to-back.
