But the name wasn't truly earned until a treasure hunter broke a deal. Douko didn't send guards; they simply met the hunter at a mountain pass three days away, holding the original scroll. The debt was paid. These days, they rarely write at all, but their collection of signed scrolls is the most feared ledger in the city.
