Chimper #2346
Shinrokurou has never once beaten Kashito in a footrace. For years, across the bamboo-lined rooftops of The Great Panda City, Kashito’s shadow would fall just ahead of their own. Kashito was impulsive, a blade drawn in a flash; Shinrokurou was methodical, a game of Go played out over weeks. The Panda Council, seeing this contrast, made them partners, forcing fire and stone to work in tandem. The turning point came while tracking a Cult of Kaze courier. Kashito charged ahead and sprang a magical snare. Shinrokurou, having studied the courier's route for days, was already waiting at the trap’s release point. They didn’t gloat, simply undid the knot. The rivalry didn’t end that day, but it was reforged. Kashito still runs ahead, but always glances back to see which path Shinrokurou has already cleared.
