The deceiver gave them a sealed scroll with a smile, a simple delivery that turned out to be a devastating curse meant for one of the fortress’s lead wizards. The resulting magical backlash shattered more than just crystal monoliths; it shattered their reputation. Now, they wear a Kitsune mask to hide the face that betrayed them. The wizards who once pitied them now give them the most vital messages, knowing that the chimper who has been fooled once is the last one you could ever fool again.
