Meharu worries about everything. Their partner, Jiro, worries about nothing, which is precisely why Meharu has to worry enough for both of them. Together, they are the unseen guardians of The Heart of the Forest, a partnership built on Jiro’s boundless confidence and Meharu’s meticulous paranoia. While Jiro will kick down a door without a second thought, Meharu has already mapped three escape routes and calculated the trajectory of the rain to mask their movements. Locals see only the cheerful face of Jiro; they never notice the quiet, grey figure slipping through the downpour in their wake.
