Chimper #2823
Without fail, Takuho starts every day in Waterfall City the same way: slurping down a bowl of fish broth so fast it leaves them wide-eyed and gasping for water. The boatwrights who mend nets at the bottom of the falls say Takuho is the most grounded explorer theyโve ever met; they always return on schedule and look utterly shocked by the price of rope. Up in the main plaza, merchants tell a different tale. To them, Takuho is a restless spirit with a bottomless thirst and maps that seem more dream than geography. Only one old frog-trader remembers the truth. They saw Tamago, the shell-warrior, nurture a small companion long ago. That, they whisper, is why the world still seems so new to Takuhoโbecause for them, it is.
