Chimper #3398
Every morning, the guards in the Teikodian Empire watch them train. While the gold spires are still pale against the dawn, Tarina is in the courtyard, their ancient katana a blur of motion. The other warriors grunt and scowl. Tarina just grins, their nesting doll helmet bobbing with each fluid parry. One of the older sentinels tells the story best: they were there for the ascension. It wasn't a scream of rage or pain that marked the change, but a peel of pure, gleeful laughter as energy surged from them, warm and alive. It was so potent that even Yasuke paused on a balcony to watch them master the basics of the newfound power. Some wonder if the helmet hides a secret identity. The guards know better. The real secret is how someone can wield that much power and still find so much joy in it.
